Firemex Terms and Conditions

 

  • Doors and frames are priced according to documents provided by Customer/Builder.
  • Quotation is valid for a period of 30 days from date of issue. Prices are subject to Rise & Fall outside validity period.
  • Firemex fire rated doors are compliant to AS1905.1-2015.
  • Firemex fire door certification is included.
  • Firemex will not provide acoustic test report/certificate for doors on schedule.
  • Solid core doors – Exterior doors are blockboard core with Ply (B grade) finish & include 4 edge strips.
  • Solid core doors – Interior doors are HMR particleboard core pre-primed XP MDF finish and NO external edge strips. If edge strips are required 4 external edge strips adds $175.00+gst to each door price.
  • View Panels – Laminated glass with timber lip beading UNO.
  • Fire rated steel door frames are priced with 1.2mm thick steel. For 1.6mm contact us for additional cost.
  • Supply of welded steel door frames includes SS fixed-pin hinges. Install including backfill is By Others.
  • Vertical movement/s by other.
  • Does not include EWP or any specialty hire equipment, unless specifically noted.
  • Demolition/Removal of existing doors and frames is not included
  • Doors in wet areas are included with 20mm undercut and/or prep and install of grille. Supply of grilles by others.
  • Firemex does not take any responsibility of door and door frame design to suit Builders Design. This is the Builders’ responsibility. Firemex can only assist with suggestions as per our knowledge of doors and door frames.
  • External doors with dark colours will void warranty
  • Doors are unpainted and steel frames are primed
  • Electronic Door hardware does not include supply, wiring and commissioning (i.e., Electric strikes, electric mortice locks etc.). Allowance is included for preparation of frames and/or doors as per schedule above.
  • Firemex will not take responsibility for any grain considered too coarse on supplied doors with paint grade ply with B grade facings. It is the builder’s responsibility to ensure that extra proper and required preparation is implemented to minimise any grain showing through the paint finish
  • Includes hanging doors and fitting hardware where noted as per our schedule.
  • Hanging rates only apply during normal working hours (Monday – Friday) and do not include Site Specific EBA labour rates. Special EBA rates are not included unless specifically requested and stated in our quote.
  • Firemex only warrants workmanship related issues to installation of hardware and seals during the DLP (12 months).  Warranty of hardware is by hardware supplier.
  • Hardware (incl kick plates and grilles) & seals are supplied By Other, unless specifically noted in our quote.
  • Master keying is by other (supply and install)
  • No allowance has been made for a site measure unless specifically requested and stated in our quote.
  • The Firemex door schedule is provided for the purpose of professional courtesy enabling clarification of items that are inclusive or excluded and you may need to allow for By Other. Prices are based on the full contract or scope of works and may or may not be the same if separated. Some items are not included by tradition (eg such as cavity wall units, seals, hardware) but can be priced or supplied if required.
  • Greenstar Certification, Low Voc’s Certification, FSC Certification, E0 & E1 Certification does not apply to this quotation. Certifications can be supplied if required with clear scope of works during tender time.
  • WARRANTY – Firemex warrant the manufacture and supply of our products for a period of 12 months. If alternate warranty terms are sought, these must be agreed to in writing prior to the commencement of the job.
  • RETENTION – (if applicable) Firemex request retentions are held on contract sums over $10,000 ONLY. Final Retention is to be equal to 5% of the total subcontract sum, with 2.5% released upon completion of contract works.  The balance of the monies retained are to be released following the completion of the defects liability period
  • STORAGE – For any deferred delivery on fabrication or purchased goods we reserve the right to charge for storage and request full payment of goods.
  • PAYAPPS DISCLAIMER – Customer must advise at tender/quoting stage if they intend to utilise PAYAPPS for this project.  Otherwise an additional charge of $65+gst per invoice will be passed on to the customer through variation.  Firemex will not incur any additional cost due to PAYAPPS payments.
  • Firemex drivers will assist the builder by positioning the steel door frames to the back or side of the delivery vehicle. The unloading of the steel door frames is the responsibility of the builder and the builder must provide enough labor to ensure that the frames are unloaded in accordance with the current manual handling regulations.
  • Firemex will deliver large packs of doors to site on a pallet for mechanical unloading by others. Small quantities of door may be delivered on pallets or loose. The responsibility for mechanical or manual unloading is the builders and the builder must ensure that the doors are unloaded in accordance with the current manual handling regulation.
